2010 marks the 25th year that Woody and Denise Magnusson have owned and operated Duck Lake Variety Store in Duck Lake, Saskatchewan. The local community store, with two full-time and two part-time staff, provides a large assortment of giftware, greeting cards for all occasions, toys, housewares, souvenirs, and seasonal items such as Christmas decorations.
With this vast array of services, the store has plenty to meet its customers' needs. However, in May 2005, the oweners decided to strengthen the business with the addition of a Lottery Ticket Centre (LTC).
Sask Sport Inc. operates Saskatchewan Lotteries as the fundraiser for sport, culture and recreation through a licensing agreement with the Government of Saskatchewan to operate major lotteries in the province.
